The 2nd season of Malaysian Idol installment kicks off at Kuching with a bang.
The city where our season 1 finalists Saiful, Nikki, Rydee auditioned, managed to rope in few talented
young stars from Borneo and many untalented Idol hopefuls.
Joining us this season is our new co-host Cheryl Samad. The chemistry between Cheryl and Soo Kui Jien (better
known as Jien)seems to be so far so good. Many of you will probably grow to love her as we did with Aleya last season.
One of the early segments of the show reintroduced us to three familiar faces, the judges - Paul Moss (Paul), Roslan Aziz
(Roslan) & Fauziah Latif (Jee). The intro clips for Paul was rather spooky at first then turned hilarious as he was portrayed as someone
that everyone feared in around the office. While Roslan was one strict record producer, Jee was quite rightly the "Pretty Woman" who turned heads!
They took turns to express what they would expect from this season.
The Walking Machine
After the first comemrcial, Cheryl was standing in front of a craft store in the bazaar introducing various attractive ethnic crafts,
pretending that she was hosting a travel show until Jien cut her short. It was sweet, funny and pretty well done. Then it was
audition time for Man who worked as a restaurant waiter. It probably had to do with his profession, he "walked" in his audition.

Who is going to buy his album?
We had a cook last season but he didn't get past the judges, this time another cook called Zaidi auditioned, causing conflict between the judges.
Paul did not think Zaidi looked like a star to him, and he threw a question to all - "Who is gong to buy his album?" which got both Jee & Roslan saying Yes.
But will you buy his album? Check out the video
Marilyn Manson caused more rifts
Conflicts between judges got heated up when Nicholas showed up. The ghostly makeup probably created more laughs than scare, as Paul remarked "Somebody
probably didn't tell you there's something on your lips." Anyway, this gutsy guy delivered/shouted/spat out a Marilyn Manson number which to some people
might sound like senseless shouting of gibberish + vulgar words. Hardly surprising, it didn't impress Paul. Paul's remarks of Nick "faking it", ticked
off Roslan who perhaps had taken it personal. Chill, Abang Roslan. Anyway, Marilyn Manson was sent home.
